＝　Lots of guys are out of work these days．

out of work ＝「失業中」
these days ＝「近頃、この頃」

では、会話形式にしてみましょう。

Ａ：「今どこで働いているの？」
Ｂ：「まったり会社だよ。ほんと大変なんだけど、文句は言えないな。だって、近頃じゃ、多くのやつが失業しているのだからね」
Ａ： Where are you working now？
Ｂ： Mattari company. It's a real pain. But I should not complain.　 Lots of guys are out of work these days．
